Companies need automation – lets face it labor costs are increasing in all countries. Being overstaffed is not an option, any big or small entrepreneur will nowadays avoid hiring staff if he can avoid it. Whenever I see people doing repetitive brainless work, I see an automation opportunity. It is so rewarding when you see happy employees saying that their daily work has been revolutionized. I expect that 20% improvement will give an 80% effect.
It is essential that using available technology, when establishing business processes, all possible actions would be done automatically. The role of employees should be redirected from manual work towards supervising processes inside a company. Often automation is associated with replacing people with machines. This is not true, often companies will see a high value in longtime employees, which are not efficient in manual labor, but will be very profitable in supervising roles.
